To Whom It May Concern,

Classic Metal Roofing Systems of Piqua, Ohio was formed in late 1980 with the goal of becoming the leading manufacturer of “shingle style” metal roofing. While we have always been involved in the residential arena, our early years saw us also heavily involved in the commercial application of our products. Today, our products are used almost exclusively for residential and religious building applications.

One thing that sometimes folks don’t realize is the long history of the products we produce. For example, Rustic Shingle was developed by Kaiser Aluminum in 1959, meaning that it is rapidly approaching its 50th Anniversary as a roofing system. There are perhaps no other roofing systems that can claim that kind of successful track record. Our Country Manor Shake product was developed by Alcoa Building Products more than 35 years ago and also has a strong experience level. In developing and producing other products, we have always used what was right about our flagship products to continue to bring more options and variety to consumers. Our products have been used on an estimated 300 million square feet of roof space! That number is huge by any industry standards.

Over the history of our company, we have always offered very strong warranties to our customers. Instead of just covering “no liability” things, our warranties cover defects and problems that really could happen over time to our types of products. Despite that, we have had only two documented warranty claims. Both involved peeling paint that was linked back to the same paint run and the same coating error. In both cases, our coatings supplier supported us in replacing the roofs.

We are not big on “tooting our own horn” at Classic. We believe that we cannot rest on our laurels – that we must always push ahead and work hard for each and every customer. But sometimes, just once in awhile, it is nice to reflect on where we’ve been and what we’ve accomplished. I hope that this letter helps our customers appreciate and understand the confidence they can put in choosing a Classic Metal Roofing System for their home.
